Privacy Policy
Effective September 7, 2026
Purple Top LLC (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes how we collect, process, retain, and disclose personal data about you when providing services to you through our websites, applications, and services that link to this policy (our “Services”) and our practices for using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.
This policy applies only to information we collect:
- Through the Services.
- In communications, including email, text (SMS), chat, and other electronic messages, between you and the Services.
It does not apply to information collected by:
- Us offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by Company or any third party that does not link to this policy; or
- Any third party, including through any application or content that may link to or be accessible from or through the Services.
Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we treat it. By interacting with our Services or providing us with your information, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy). Your continued use of the Services after we make changes as described here is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.
You acknowledge that this policy is designed to be read in connection with the Company’s Terms and Conditions of Use, available at https://turnup.fyi/terms and that by accessing or using our Services you agree to be bound by those terms as well as this policy.
Certain features, events, or offerings may be subject to a supplemental privacy notice that we provide to you at the time of collection and that describes practices specific to that feature, event, or offering. Any supplemental notice is in addition to this policy, and in the event of a conflict, the supplemental notice controls with respect to the feature, event, or offering it covers. This policy also includes the Information for California Residents section at the end, which applies in addition to the rest of this policy if you are a California resident.
Irrespective of which country you live in, you authorize us to transfer, store, and use your information in the United States and any other country where we operate. In some of these countries, the privacy and data protection laws and the rules regarding when government authorities may access data may differ from those in the country where you live. If you do not agree to the transfer, storage, and use of your information in the United States and any other country where we operate, please do not use our Services.
Children’s and Minors’ Data
You must be at least 14 years old to use our Services. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 14, and if we learn that we have done so, we will delete it. For certain events restricted to adults, we use a third-party identity verification service on a per-event basis to confirm eligibility. We do not use the personal data of users under 18 for behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, profiling, or the sale or sharing of personal data. Because we do not engage in these activities, we do not currently seek consent for them. If we begin to sell or share personal data or to use it for targeted advertising or profiling, we will not do so with respect to any user we know to be under 18 without first obtaining the affirmative opt-in consent required by applicable law — from the user for users at least 14 and under 16, and from a parent or guardian for any younger user — and we will update this policy before doing so.
The Personal Data That We Collect or Process
“Personal data” is information that identifies, relates to, or describes, directly or indirectly, you as an individual, such as your name, email address, telephone number, postal address, or payment information.
The types and categories of personal data we collect or process include:
- Account and contact information, including name, email address, phone number, and other contact information you provide us. If you create an account, we may also collect your birthday, address, and zip code if you choose to provide them.
- Payment information, including credit card or debit card information processed through our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card number; we retain only a tokenized reference provided by our payment processor, your card brand, and the last four digits of your card.
- Account history, including information about your account, registrations, transactions, and event activity.
- Location information, including general geographic location such as city or region derived from your IP address, and address information you provide in connection with events.
- Device information, including your IP address, operating system and version, browser type and settings, and other device information.
- Content and information you elect to provide as part of your profile, on public event pages, or in emails, chats, or other communications sent to us.
- Images and photographs that you upload or post, including profile photos and photographs you share on public event pages. These images may show you or other people, and may contain embedded metadata such as the date, time, or location the image was captured. We do not use facial recognition or other biometric identification technology on images you provide, and we do not collect or process biometric identifiers.
Some of the information identified above may be considered sensitive personal data under certain laws. If required under applicable law, we will collect and process sensitive personal data only with your consent. If you choose not to provide or allow us to collect some information, we may not be able to provide you with requested features, services, or information.
If you are a California resident, additional information applies to you. See the Information for California Residents section at the end of this policy.
We also collect:
- Statistics or aggregated information. Statistical or aggregated data does not directly identify a specific person, but we may derive non-personal statistical or aggregated data from personal data. For example, we may aggregate personal data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific Services feature.
- Technical information. Technical information includes information about your internet connection and usage details about your interactions with the Services, such as which links you click, which pages or content you view, page response times, and other similar information or statistics.
If we combine or connect non-personal statistical or technical data with personal data so that it directly or indirectly identifies an individual, we treat the combined information as personal data.
How We Collect Your Personal and Other Data
You Provide Information to Us
We collect information about you when you interact with our Services, such as when you create or update an account, purchase a subscription, register for or purchase access to an event, RSVP to an event, submit a form or transmit information electronically, by telephone, or by letter, post content on a public event page, or contact us with feedback, questions, or a support request.
You may also RSVP to an event without creating an account. In that case, we do not collect your email address or phone number. Instead, we store a signed token in your browser and provide you with a randomly generated passphrase, either of which you can use to manage (change or remove) your RSVP. An RSVP managed this way does not expose your email address, phone number, or legal name.
If you provide us with a mobile phone number, we may send you text (SMS) messages. When you register or add a phone number, we ask for your consent to receive transactional messages, such as account verification codes and event notifications; these messages are necessary to provide the Services. You may also separately and optionally consent to receive promotional messages about new features and offers. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of promotional messages at any time by following the instructions in the message or contacting us, and we may still send you service-related messages.
Automatically Through Our Services
As you navigate through and interact with our Services, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect information that may include personal data. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses, operating system, and browser type. Using automatic collection technologies helps us to improve our Services and to deliver a better and more personalized experience.
We use your IP address in a few specific ways. We may convert (“hash”) your IP address into a non-reversible identifier, or “fingerprint,” that we use for analytics purposes, such as counting unique visitors without duplication, and to maintain audit logs recording the consents you provide. We may also derive an approximate, city-level location from your IP address for analytics. We retain raw (unhashed) IP addresses only within our consent audit logs, and access to those raw IP addresses is restricted.
The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies. These are required to operate the Services and keep them secure. They include a session cookie that keeps you signed in and a security token that protects against cross-site request forgery when you submit forms and requests.
- Functional Cookies. These remember your choices to improve your experience. They include a device-recognition token that lets you skip re-entering a one-time verification code on a device you have previously verified, and, if you RSVP to an event without creating an account, a signed token that lets you manage your RSVP.
- Browser Storage. We use your browser’s local storage to remember preferences such as your events dashboard layout and to keep certain randomized display elements consistent between visits.
The cookies and similar technologies we use are all first-party (set by us, not by third parties). We do not use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies or pixels on our Services, and we do not use cookies to track your browsing behavior across other websites. You may refuse to accept or disable cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser or device. However, if you select this setting, you may be unable to access certain features of the Services.
From Service Providers
We may receive personal data about you from service providers that we engage to perform services on our behalf. We use a third-party location services provider to support certain features, such as address auto-completion, “open in maps” links, and displaying event locations on embedded maps. When you use these features, address and location information is shared with that provider to provide the service, and the provider’s handling of that information is governed by its own privacy policy. In the future, we may ask for your permission to access your device’s precise (GPS) location to offer additional features; if we do, we will only collect that information with your consent, and you can disable it at any time through your device settings.
We may also receive personal data about you from business partners and other third parties. For example, if you register for or learn about an event through a partner that jointly offers or promotes it with us, or through a third-party ticketing, payment, or social media platform, that partner or platform may provide us with your name, contact information, and information about your registration or transaction. We use information we receive this way for the purposes described in the How We Use Your Information section, and we handle it in accordance with this policy.
How We Use Your Information
We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal data, to:
- Provide you with the Services and any contents, features, information, products, or services that we make available through the Services.
- Process your registrations and payments for events and services, and provide you with receipts and confirmations.
- Identify you when you visit our Services and maintain your account.
- Provide you with notices about your account, including administrative notices.
- Improve our Services, including by analyzing your information and creating aggregated data to develop, maintain, analyze, improve, optimize, measure, and report on our Services and how users interact with them.
- Send you marketing and promotional communications, where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law.
- Support core business functions, detect security incidents, and investigate and prevent fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity.
- Carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection.
- Resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, troubleshoot problems, and enforce our agreements with you, including our Terms and Conditions of Use and this policy.
- Notify you when Services updates are available and about changes to any products or services we offer.
- In any other way we may describe when you provide the information.
- For any other purpose with your consent.
The usage information we collect, whether connected to your personal data or not, helps us improve our Services and deliver a better and more personalized experience by enabling us to:
- Estimate our audience sizes and usage patterns.
- Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize the Services according to your individual needs and interests.
- Recognize you when you return to our Services.
Although the sections above describe our primary purpose in collecting your personal data, in many situations we have more than one purpose. For example, if you register for an event, we collect your information to perform our services with you, but we also collect it so that we can quickly and easily respond to any questions about your registration afterward.
Large Language Model Training Disclosure
Except as described in this section, we do not collect, use, or sell your personal data for the purpose of training large language models or other artificial intelligence models. We may, however, use your personal data to provide you with AI-powered features within the Services (for example, features that generate or personalize content for you). Using your information to provide these features to you is different from, and does not include, using your information to train large language models.
Trust and safety. We do use content that you submit, post, or otherwise make available through the Services, which may include personal data, to develop, train, test, and improve models and other automated systems that detect, flag, investigate, and prevent abuse of the Services, fraud, spam, harmful or illegal content, and other violations of our terms, policies, or applicable law. We rely on our legitimate interest in maintaining the safety, security, and integrity of the Services and our users as the basis for this processing. We do not use content processed for these purposes to train models that generate content for other users, and we limit access to this content to personnel and service providers who need it for these purposes.
Who We Disclose Your Information To
We will not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to others. We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.
We may also disclose personal data that we collect or you provide as described in this privacy policy:
- Service Providers. To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our organization and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal data confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them. These include, but are not limited to, processing payments, sending email and text messages, providing location and mapping services, analyzing data, and providing customer support.
- Third Party Partners. To third parties that we have partnered with to jointly create and offer a product, service, or joint promotion.
- Social Media Platforms and Networks. Some parts of our Services have features such as plugins, widgets, or other tools made available by third parties that may result in information being collected or shared between us and the third party. Their use of your information is not governed by this policy.
- Business Transfers. To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Purple Top LLC’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding. We may also share personal data with prospective purchasers to evaluate a proposed transaction.
- To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.
- For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
- With your consent.
We may also disclose your personal data:
- To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request. Occasionally we may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide personal data to the appropriate governmental authorities, and we will disclose it upon receipt of a court order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation.
- To enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions of Use and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes.
- If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of our organization, our users, or others.
The categories of personal data we may disclose include account and contact information, payment information, account history, location information, device information, and content and information you elect to provide to us.
We encourage our service providers to adopt and promote strong privacy policies. However, the use of your personal data by our service providers is governed by the respective privacy policies of those providers and is not subject to our control. Other websites accessible through our Services have their own privacy policies and data collection, use, and disclosure practices. We are not responsible for the policies or practices of third parties.
We may also provide aggregate information about our users’ activity, traffic patterns, and related Services information to third parties, but these statistics do not include any personal data.
In the future, we may offer an advertising-supported version of the Services in which we use information we hold about you to show you more relevant advertising. To the extent any such activity is considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal data, “targeted advertising,” or “profiling” under applicable law, we will provide you with the ability to opt out, as described in the Your State Privacy Rights section below. As described in the Children’s and Minors’ Data section, we do not use the personal data of users under 18 for these purposes.
Your Rights and Choices About Your Information
This section describes mechanisms you can use to control certain uses and disclosures of your information and rights you may have under state law, depending on where you live.
- Accessing and Updating Your Account Information. If you have created an account, you can update your name, email address, phone number, security questions, and other preferences by logging into your account and modifying your information on your settings page. You may also contact us to update your information using the details in the Contact Information section below.
- Accessing or Deleting Your Personal Data. You may request access to or deletion of the personal data we hold about you by completing and submitting the Request Form at the end of this policy and emailing it to hello@turnup.fyi. If required by law, we will grant you reasonable access to your personal data or delete it. Please note that in many situations we must retain all or a portion of your personal data to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, protect against fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity, or for another business purpose. Please also note that because we need certain personal data in order to maintain your account and provide the Services to you, deleting your personal data may result in the closure or deletion of your account and the loss of access to the Services and to content associated with your account. Deletion may be irreversible, and we may be unable to restore your account or its content after a deletion request is processed.
- Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you choose to reject all cookies, some parts of our Services may not work properly.
- Promotional Communications. You may choose to provide us with your email address or phone number so that we can send you newsletters, surveys, offers, and other promotional materials. You can stop receiving promotional emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any promotional email, by following the opt-out instructions in any promotional text message, or by emailing us at hello@turnup.fyi. We may still send you service-related communications.
- Removing Content From Public Event Pages. You can request that we remove content or information that you have posted on a public page on our Services by emailing details to us at hello@turnup.fyi. While we will endeavor to honor your request, our removal of your content does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of that information. For example, historical copies, or “caches,” may remain.
- Location Data. You can choose whether to allow the Services to collect and use information about your device’s location through your device’s privacy settings. If you block the use of location information, some Services features may become inaccessible or not function properly.
Your State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residency, you may have certain rights related to your personal data, including:
- Access and Data Portability. You may confirm whether we process your personal data and access a copy of the personal data we process. To the extent feasible and required by state law, data will be provided in a portable format.
- Correction. You may request that we correct inaccuracies in your personal data that we maintain, taking into account the information’s nature and processing purpose.
- Deletion. You may request that we delete personal data about you that we maintain, subject to certain exceptions under applicable law.
- Opt Out of Sales, Targeted Advertising, and Profiling. You may request that we do not use your personal data for these purposes.
Important: The exact scope of these rights varies by state. There are also several exceptions where we may not have an obligation to fulfill your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
We do not currently offer any loyalty program, discount, or other financial incentive in exchange for the collection, retention, sale, or sharing of your personal data, and we do not charge different prices or provide a different level of service based on whether you exercise your privacy rights. If we offer such a program in the future, we will provide the notice of financial incentive required by applicable law, including a description of the material terms and the method for withdrawing from the program, and your participation will be voluntary and require your opt-in consent.
To exercise any of these rights, please complete and submit the Request Form at the end of this policy and email it to hello@turnup.fyi. Before fulfilling a request, we will take steps to verify your identity in order to protect your information from fraudulent or unauthorized requests. We will complete a valid deletion request within 30 days, subject to any exceptions permitted by law. To appeal a decision regarding a consumer rights request, email us at hello@turnup.fyi within 90 days of receiving our decision, with “Privacy Request Appeal” in the subject line. Please include your name, the email address you used for your original request, and a brief explanation of why you believe our decision was incorrect. A member of our team will review your appeal, and we will inform you in writing of our decision and the reasons for it within 45 days of receiving your appeal. If we deny your appeal, you may submit a complaint to the attorney general of your state.
Some browsers and browser extensions support the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) that can send a signal to process your request to opt out from certain types of data processing, including data “sales” as defined under certain laws. When we detect such a signal, we will make reasonable efforts to respect your choices indicated by a GPC setting as required by applicable law.
Nevada provides its residents with a limited right to opt out of certain personal data sales. Residents who wish to exercise their sale opt-out rights may submit a request to hello@turnup.fyi. However, please note that we do not currently sell data triggering that statute’s opt-out requirements.
If you are a California resident, additional information applies to you. See the Information for California Residents section at the end of this policy.
How We Protect Your Personal Data
We use commercially reasonable administrative, physical, and technical measures designed to protect your personal data from accidental loss or destruction and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk, taking into account technological reality, cost, and the scope, context, and purposes of processing weighted against the severity and likelihood that the processing could threaten individual rights and freedoms.
The specific measures we use include:
- Encrypting personal data in transit using TLS/HTTPS and at rest using AES-256 encryption.
- Hashing account passwords using a strong, industry-standard algorithm (Argon2id) so that they are never stored in a readable or retrievable form.
- Offering multi-factor authentication through one-time passcodes to help protect access to your account.
- Limiting access to personal data to specific employees, contractors, and agents who have a reasonable need to come into contact with your information. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline if they fail to meet them.
- Working to ensure that the data we collect is reliable, accurate, complete, and current, and using it only for the purposes for which it was collected or to comply with applicable legal or ethical reporting or document retention requirements.
If you have created an account, access to your personal data is available through a password and unique user ID selected by you. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone.
However, no website, mobile application, system, electronic storage, or online service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal data transmitted to, through, using, or in connection with the Services. In particular, email, texts, and chats sent to or from the Services may not be secure, and you should carefully decide what information you send to us via such communications channels. Any transmission of personal data is at your own risk.
The safety and security of your information also depends on you. You are responsible for taking steps to protect your personal data against unauthorized use, disclosure, and access.
If we become aware of a security incident that has resulted in the unauthorized acquisition of or access to your personal data, we will investigate the incident and will notify you and any applicable regulators without unreasonable delay, in the manner and within the timeframes required by applicable law. Where we notify you directly, we will use the email address associated with your account or another method permitted by law, and our notice will describe, to the extent known, the categories of personal data involved and the steps you can take to protect yourself.
How We Retain Your Personal Data
We keep the categories of personal data described in this policy for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described or as otherwise legally permitted or required, such as maintaining the Services, operating our organization, complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and for safety, security, and fraud prevention. This means that we consider our legal and business obligations, potential risks of harm, and the nature of the information when deciding how long to retain personal data. At the end of the retention period, personal data will be deleted, destroyed, or deidentified.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If your account becomes inactive, we may delete it and the associated personal data after approximately two years, unless we are required or permitted by law to retain it longer. Some information, such as records of past transactions or logs of technical support requests, may be retained after a deletion request where permitted or required by law. In addition, it may be impossible to completely delete your information without some residual information remaining because of backups.
Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, and we will provide notice of any such changes to the policy as required by law. The date the privacy policy was last updated is identified at the top of the page. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “last updated” date and posting the updated policy on the Services, by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account, or by placing a prominent notice on our Services. Your continued use of the Services after such modifications constitutes your acknowledgment of the modified policy and your agreement to abide and be bound by it.

You may also request information about the specific pieces of personal data we have collected about you (“Specific Pieces Report”).

If that changes, we will update this policy and provide a mechanism for you to exercise this right. In the meantime, you may contact us at hello@turnup.fyi with any request concerning sensitive personal information.
- How to Submit a Request. To request access to or deletion of your personal data, please complete and submit the Request Form at the end of this policy and email it to hello@turnup.fyi. - Designated Agent. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf to access or delete your personal data.
